General Information

School Hours

School Opens:   8:15am
Morning Recess:   10:00am - 10:15am
Lunch:   11:30am - 12:10pm (outdoors from 11:30am to 11:55am)
Dismissal:   2:15pm (buses depart at 2:20pm)

Note:
No supervision after 2:30pm. All students must leave the school grounds or be picked up by the noted time.

Busing

The Catholic Independent Schools of Prince George have Diversified operating their bus routes with set rates. Buses operate in all areas of the city. NEW bus access from three locations in College Heights to Sacred Heart School for the morning route. They include Westgate, Southridge, Gladstone/Malaspina. Please call the school for more information. To be bused to school is a privilege and students are to adhere to a code of behaviour and conduct. The bus driver is in charge and needs to ensure the safety of all children traveling on the bus. Students are to respect and follow the directions of the driver.

After School Care

Sacred Heart School offers after school care and is currently the only place with open spots in the Millar Addition area of Prince George. See our flyer for more information. We provide care from Kindergarten to Grade 7 2:15 - 6:00 P.M.

Our fees are $250/month or part-time fees $17.50/day. We will be offering all day care for Non Instructional days and Seasonal Breaks during the school year. The fees for NID days are $20 for full time children and $35 for part time children.

We provide age appropriate activities.
We also provide awesome snacks!

Dress Code

All students in Grade 1 to Grade 7 are expected to follow our dress code.

BOYS
  • Plain white collared shirt (turtle necks and golf shirts are acceptable)
  • Navy blue sweater or school crested sweatshirt or vest
  • Navy blue pants
GIRLS
  • Plain white blouse/collared shirt (turtle necks and golf shirts are acceptable)
  • Navy blue skirts, skorts, or jumpers
  • Navy blue pants
  • Navy blue sweater

Note: Solid colors only, no logos, stripes, etc., on pants, shirts or sweaters unless the student purchases a school-crested sweatshirt or fleece vest. Non-marking indoor shoes are mandatory. Make-up is not permissible as part of dress code.
